A new Chick-fil-A restaurant will open in Chesterfield Township this fall at 27322 23 Mile Rd, as the company’s latest expansion in Michigan markets. The Chesterfield Township location is owned and operated by John Shamam, previously an Operating Partner for a Northville Chick-fil-A.

“Chick-fil-A has plans to reach new communities with upcoming restaurants, including four locally owned and operated restaurants in Chesterfield Township, Roseville, Taylor and Fort Gratiot, slated for this Fall/Winter,” the company shared in a press release sent to What Now Detroit. “Additional growth includes a licensed location in the First National Building, and locally owned and operated restaurants in Detroit, Auburn Hills, Lincoln Park, Orion Township, Clinton Township, Canton and Ann Arbor.”

Construction has mainly been completed and a sign has gone up for the building. Shamam started the hiring process last month for the Chesterfield location, according to his LinkedIn activities. Shamam was hiring for team members and leadership positions and is no longer accepting applications.

As part of the effort, Chick-fil-A is investing further in the company’s team members in the Greater Detroit Area to support their growth, awarding “$313,000 in scholarships to more than 150 Team Members in the Detroit area to support continuing their education”, according to the press release.

The community is also already showing support for the new location. One Google user reviews in advance on the restaurant’s profile: “Can wait for them to open this location up!! This location is closer to my house than having to drive all the way to the Shelby Township Location!”

Chick-fil-A is also working on locations in Taylor and Roseville as previously reported. We will share more information about the Chestrfield Township location once an opening date becomes available.
