Penn Cove Brewing Company is expanding its presence with a new taproom in Lake Stevens at 8928 Vernon Road, according to co-owner Marc Aparicio.
“We’re very excited to become a part of the Lake Stevens community. The brewery has been in operation for eight years, with two and a half years of brewing experience. The new taproom will feature a full restaurant, serving options such as mussels, clams, and other bar food, with a primary focus on high-quality craft beer. Depending on permits, the taproom hopes to open to the public on June 9th, but tentatively this summer,” Aparicio told What Now Seattle.
Originally opening its doors in 2016 on Whidbey Island, one goal of this expansion was to combat seasonality. This will be the third taproom for Marc and his brother Mitch, with the first to offer a full-service restaurant to patrons. Penn Cove will be introducing a whiskey, wine, and beer pairing option to the menu, in addition to the newly added food options.
Marc Aparicio will manage the Lake Stevens location, which will employ over 20 new staff members to their current 20 employees. Patrons can also enjoy the newly implemented point-of-sale (POS) system created to reduce lines and improve the customer experience.
