According to a recent permit filing, Manuscript Restaurant is set to open its doors in Tacoma at 203 Tacoma Ave S.
“Depending on liquor licensing and other things, my goal is to be able to open within the next two months. If you’re familiar with Toca Madera, there will be a touch of that aesthetic inside,” Robert Stocker, the owner of Manuscript, told What Now Seattle.
“It will be a very unique place. There will be a tree hanging upside down from the ceiling inside, with a big DJ set up in the back. The goal is to be able to have a big dancing spot on Fridays and Saturdays. My general manager, DJ Eda Lovelace, will be in charge of that space. When we take reservations, we will be typing all of your information on a vintage typewriter.”
“Our goal is to be able to provide unique, but inexpensive comfort food options. I am also the owner of Boom Boom Room right across the street, and we will have a lot of cocktails that will be unique to Manuscript, but also some from that menu. We will also be offering boxed or to-go options for food,” Robert added.
Stocker also expressed his love for the DJ craft and acknowledged that the scene does not always provide ample amount of opportunity for DJs to perform their sets. Another one of his goals is to open that door for the community and help provide a space to grow.
Isn’t that address Odin Brewing Company?
The boom boom room is like 2 miles away on 6th ave, not across the street
