The California-based concept Novo Brazil Brewing Co. is planning to open its first location outside of California in San Antonio.
Moving into a 10,000-square-foot space at North Star Mall, the brewery will soon neighbor existing tenants such as Blue Start Brewing Company, Kona Grill, and The Cheesecake Factory.
SA Current quotes the concept’s founder, Tiago Carneiro, commenting on the expansion: “Our focus is still Southern California, and we plan to open more locations here in the near future. San Antonio is a standalone location that we see as a business opportunity to replicate our model.”
He adds, “San Antonio is a city with a lot of potential for a brand like Novo to provide great food and high-quality beers.”
Known for beer as well as kombucha, “Novo Brazil Brewing Company is an international, award-winning brewery based in Southern California and guided by its Brazilian soul,” according to its website.
Currently, Novo Brazil locations are open and operating in Chula Vista and San Diego Bay.
