According to a recently submitted permit application, national cafe chain The Toasted Yolk is expanding its footprint — planning to debut a new outpost in San Antonio later this year.

Coming to 911 N Hunt Lane, the eatery will land near establishments such as Chicken Salad Chick, Dave’s Hot Chicken, and Playa Bowls.

What Now San Antonio reached out to franchisee Randy Craft to inquire about the upcoming location, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing discloses that renovations to the 4202-square-foot outpost are scheduled to begin on May 20 and be completed on August 19, 2024, and will cost an estimated $250,000 to complete.

For readers who are unfamiliar with The Toasted Yolk, the concept offers an introduction on its website: “The foods we love best all arrive before 3 p.m.—perfectly poached eggs, strip after strip of crunchy bacon, and layer upon layer of thin-sliced turkey and pastrami. These are the delicacies we dream about at night, and they’re the ones we want to wake up to. We couldn’t find them served consistently in a restaurant atmosphere that didn’t put us back to sleep. So, we opened our own.”

An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
