McHale’s is charting a return to the Charlotte community, according to a land development construction plan recently filed with the City of Charlotte. Owner Brendan Kuhlkin has plans to bring the pub to the NoDa neighborhood at 3112 N Davidson Street.
The Irish pub is not new to the community. McHale’s originally opened in Fort Mill in 1997 and also had a stint in Rock Hill until 2020, when it closed permanently.
McHale’s will join other nearby eateries along North Davidson, including Haberdish and Ever Andalo.
Though McHale’s has been closed since 2020, Kuhlkin is part of the ownership team behind other brands currently in operation on the Charlotte restaurant and brewery scene. He has ownership in Millstone Pizza and Taphouse in Rock Hill and Rock Hill Brewing Company.
Construction plans for McHale’s call for a facade renovation. However, details regarding plans for the concept and an opening timeline remain largely unknown at this time. What Now Charlotte reached out to Kuhlkin for further details but had not heard back prior to publication.
