A popular Nazareth chef is preparing to answer the calls of hungry locals. Cody Dally, the mind and kitchen behind Cody’s Eats and Sweets, is opening his first brick and mortar location this summer, reports local media outlet WFMZ.

Dally will be setting up shop at 52 South Main Street-a location which, he tells What Now Philadelphia, is geographically fortuitous. “The storefront space is across the street from my home.” he explains. “The space had been unoccupied and my landlord owns the space as well. I would look out the window down to the property and say ‘that’s my space right there’.”

Patience and prayer paid off, and Dally jumped at the chance to take over the storefront once the opportunity presented itself. Dally states that the building previously housed two other restaurants, making the transition into Cody’s Eats and Sweets a little smoother and easier.

Dally sees the brick and mortar as an opportunity to expand his culinary offerings while continuing to provide the baked goods that have made him so beloved in the local community. He is excited about applying his years of experience and education to more savory treats-he is particularly enthusiastic about crafting a ribeye cheesesteak, certain to please even the most skeptic Philadelphian.

Sandwiches are only the beginning of the evolution Dally has planned for his fan-favorite concept. “Once a month I want to do special weekend dinners where I create a special 3-course menu that I post online,” he states. “ People will make reservations-that will be a way for me to further tap into my creativity and chef skills. I like to change things up.”

Dally anticipates having space for 5 to 6 tables to facilitate a unique dine-in experience.

Of course, Dally will be certain to continue offering the delicious treats-from cookies to tomato pies-that have earned him such a loyal following. “There are signature items-my stuffed cookies, which people have come to know and love, a giant deconstructed Reese’s cup-that will always be there. I’ll have the staple items people have come to know and love from the farmers market.”

Dally projects a mid-to-late June opening for Cody’s Sweets and Eats, but excitement is already high among Lehigh Valley foodies. “People come to the farmers market and say ‘Cody, when’s the storefront coming?’ The love and support from the community has been incredible. The customer base has been pushing!”

Dally is deeply invested in becoming an integral part of the community. A local business is creating merchandise for the store and another is providing essential design elements. This commitment to his neighborhood mirrors Dally’s dedication to his craft. While his business is growing, the chef has no intentions of becoming less involved in the day-to-day work of making delectable treats. He sums up what makes Cody’s Eats and Sweets so special, saying: “It comes down to, I’m very hands on, all of my food is prepared by me. Everyone knows they’re going to get a quality, consistent product.”
