Felix Roasting Co., the luxury and lifestyle coffee company that is dedicated to quality and innovation from origin to cup, celebrated the grand opening of its fifth flagship location at 280 Park Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. The coffee brand currently operates 4 other outposts, including the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado, Hotel Hugo in West Soho, New York, 450 Park Avenue South in Nomad, New York and 145 Greene Street in Soho, New York.

“With our fifth location, Felix Roasting Co. brings its grandest vision yet, with a unique blend of craftmanship and creativity to Midtown Manhattan at a time of transformation and revival for the neighborhood,” said Matthew Moinian, Founder and CEO of Felix Roasting Co in a statement. “With more of New York City’s workforce returning to the office, we identified one of the best sites in heart of Midtown as the ideal location for our next outpost. I don’t think an office building has ever had a café quite like this one.”

Known for its impeccably sourced specialty coffee and interiors by celebrated designer Ken Fulk, Felix Roasting Co.’s newest cafe continues the brand’s commitment to elevating the café experience. The space is covered with a hand placed custom mosaic floor reminiscent of an ancient Etruscan villa, including a central oval bar and copper leafed dome hanging overhead. The interior of the dome is hand-painted and gilded in the motif of the all-powerful sun shining in a setting sky. The walls, adorned with hand built custom millwork, is made to look as if it has existed for decades with custom Felix art and antique sconces. Our signature furniture is complemented with several Murano glass opera-style chandeliers hanging at different heights to cultivate a theatrical atmosphere, all while creating an intimate yet grand space.

To complement the design, Felix Roasting Co. is helmed by a world-class team, including a multiple James Beard-nominated pastry chef. The menu features homemade nut milks, chai, mocha, syrups and ganache, alongside signature coffee cocktails like the hickory-smoked s’mores latte and the espresso tonic, infused with Persian lime and cardamom.

Founded by Matthew Moinian and debuting in NoMad in 2018, Felix Roasting Co. has redefined luxury coffee culture in the U.S. More than just a coffee shop, it has become a lifestyle destination, seamlessly integrating into some of the world’s most iconic brands such as Cartier New York, The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles and Hotel Jerome in Aspen. With a commitment to sourcing seasonally and directly from renowned coffee farms worldwide, proprietary roasting techniques, and a team of industry-leading coffee experts, Felix Roasting Co. pushes the boundaries and delivers a thoughtful experience to customers.

Felix Roasting Co. signed a 1500-square-foot, 10-year lease at 280 Park Avenue in 2024. Owned by a joint venture of Vornado Realty Trust and SL Green, 280 Park Avenue is steps from Grand Central Terminal and is one of Manhattan’s premier corporate addresses. The building features plazas with abundant green space, a floor-to-ceiling glass façade on the plaza building and benefits from close access to high-end dining, shopping and hotel options.
