A new restaurant and pub is in the works in Chamblee.

Moondog Grub & Pub is planned for 5077 Peachtree Road, the second brick-and-mortar location for the local company focused on craft beer.

The new iteration in Chamblee will feature a full bar and 20 taps of craft beer, as well as American cuisine like wings, burgers, chicken, pasta, salads, small bites and more. Among the appetizers: cheese curds, soft pretzels and fried pickles. The pub will include a dog-friendly outdoor patio and private event space, along with live music, events and games.

Moondog Growlers was established in 2012. The 40-tap bar in Dunwoody is referred to as the city’s “unofficial community center.” Tommy and Felicia Burda purchased it in July 2017 after becoming fans of the environment and the community that formed there.

They didn’t originally plan to open another location, but plans started to fall into place as they found an ideal spot in Chamblee’s “Open Container District” that was also able to support food service. In 2023, the Chamblee City Council voted to allow outdoor consumption of alcoholic beverages in the city’s downtown entertainment district.

“If you’ve been to our original location in Dunwoody, Georgia, you know that we’re all about community,” according to the website. “Our Chamblee location brings that same spirit to life. Inspired by the city itself, Moondog Pub & Grub is a place where everyone can come together — four-legged friends included.”
