More details are known about the concept taking over the space of a shuttered restaurant on Roswell Road.
Nala Kitchen & Cocktails is coming to 4183 Roswell Road NE. The space was formerly occupied by the South African restaurant 10 Degrees South, which was sold about a year ago.
It was reported at the time that the hospitality company owned by Faven Ressom and Mable Abraham, the team behind Whisky Mistress and One Street Over, would be taking over the restaurant.
Nala Kitchen & Cocktails will be an elevated tapas restaurant, with a clean and comfortable design and a focus on “good company and good times,” Ressom said.
It will be open as late as 1 a.m. Ressom wanted to fill the void of late-night spots in the area.
“Finding something to eat after 9 or 9:30 is really tough over there,” she told What Now Atlanta.
The restaurant will pay homage in its cuisine and design to African culture and influences. It will feature live entertainment and seating for 130 people.
Nala Kitchen & Cocktails is expected to open the second week of January. For now, you can follow on Instagram @nala_atl.
