A new vinyl listening room is revving up at Westside Motor Lounge.
Echo Room is now open. The lounge is curated by four Atlanta DJs: Kai Alce, DJ Kemit, Salah Ananse and Mike Zarin, as well as Westside Motor Lounge’s own Kelly Campbell.
Echo Room is an homage to the listening bars of post-World War II Japan. They are increasing in popularity in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco and now Atlanta.
The lounge has a 1970s aesthetic reminiscent of a recording studio basement. House, soul, classic rock, jazz, bossanova, Latin, pop, hip-hop and more will play from the 1,750-square-foot space each Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. Guests can enjoy the warmth of vintage sound systems while sipping on craft cocktails.
The sound system was designed by Salah Ananse and features vintage studio equipment sourced from hi-fi aficionados throughout North Georgia.
Echo Room will regularly host talent from across the country. Follow on Instagram @EchoRoomATL.
