A new business aims to bring a fun and sophisticated spot to northwest Atlanta.

A project called Bar Haus is in the works at 2057 Main Street NW, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The single-story 1,700-square-foot building was formerly a reading lounge and event space called Lit Diaries.

One interior room of the building is proposed to be altered into a kitchen area, and another interior room will have a counter-service bar with seating, according to the building permit application documents. Construction documents indicate that there will also be seating on an outdoor deck, as well as space for a DJ.

According to an Instagram page for Bar Haus, the restaurant and lounge seeks to create a place “where the ambiance is as smooth as the cocktails, the music is as vibrant as the crowd, and every night turns into an unforgettable experience.” It is expected to open this spring.

Bar Haus West LLC was first created in June 2024, according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.
