Kroger is opening its supermarket on the ground level of the 725 Ponce development on October 16, according to Atlanta Intown Paper.
The 60,000-square-foot store is referred to by the grocer as “BeltLine Kroger” for its position along the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail in the 12-story office building across from Ponce City Market.
BeltLine Kroger will be accessible from the former railway corridor by way of a 2,500-square-foot porch and a walk-up-window Starbucks, as well as by its main entrance facing a surface parking lot.
Kroger is no stranger to the site, at 725 Ponce De Leon Ave NE.
The grocer up until October 28, 2016, operated a standalone location where developer New City built its new glassy, concrete tower.
It was popularly known as “Murder Kroger.”
Murder Kroger 4evah!
Sorry Caleb, but I think it’s just cheap journalism to remind people of the murder tag. People died. If you and others would stop “printing” this maybe people will stop using the name. What now? Move on.
[expletive] that. It’ll always be murder Kroger. It’s in the local lexicon.
If anything, it honors the deaths by remembering them, not covering it up like you want.
What’s worst is Kroger is not calling it Beltline Kroger as he mentioned, they are calling it Kroger on Ponce. Way to go for the clickbate Colin. Responsible journalism will quote your sources.

“Supermarket is situated where ‘Murder Kroger’ once stood. ”
Murder Kroger is a state of mind, not a building.
What’s your source that Kroger is calling it “Beltline Kroger”?
