A one-of-a-kind rural destination is coming to Gay, GA Fall 2023. Located about an hour south of Atlanta, the property will also have a dining experience curated and led by Chef Ryan Smith of Staplehouse.

Ryan is a James Beard Award-nominated chef and will have dedicated menus inspired by the seasons and local availability. The food ingredients will feature homegrown, naturally harvested, and locally sourced on the property. The space will ultimately operate as a 30-seat tasting menu restaurant.

Interested patrons can begin booking at Quercus, which will host the food concept starting September 15.

According to a press release shared with What Now Atlanta, Quercus will be an all-inclusive property that highlights working ranch culture and encourages guests to connect with the land through a variety of curated activities ranging from garden tours, foraging, and wellness initiatives to kayaking, cow-tending, fly fishing, and equestrian experiences.

Four well-appointed residences, ranging from one to three bedrooms, offer a place for respite, with vast porches overlooking the land, wood-burning fireplaces, and carefully selected amenities that underscore the cyclical nature of the land.

Chef Smith is behind the acclaimed Staplehouse in Atlanta. Patrons in the new dining concept can expect especially curated menus with upscale but homegrown touches.

Before Staplehouse, Smith was the Executive Chef at Empire State South, always focusing on creating memorable customer experiences.
