According to a recent Columbus Business First article, plans are in the works that could move Spaghetti Warehouse back to its original location on Broad Street as part of a new proposed development. In March 2022 the eatery was forced to close the Broad Street location, where it had operated since the late 1970s, due to the building’s roof collapsing. Last May, the restaurant announced it would relocate to 150 S High St, and that establishment opened this fall.

The Columbus Business First article went on to state that currently, “Columbus developer Robert Weiler Co. along with Falco, Smith and Kelley LTD and the owners of Spaghetti Warehouse are working to redevelop the site of the restaurant’s former home into a 15 story tower with 534 residential units, a 577 space parking garage and about 15,000 square feet of retail space.”

Although things haven’t been approved by the city just yet, part of the redevelopment plans includes moving Spaghetti Warehouse back to its original home on Broad Street as a tenant in the new Broad Street tower. Once the move is complete, the High Street eatery would be transformed from Spaghetti Warehouse into an upscale eatery.

There’s some speculation that the High Street location could possibly become a Warehouse 72, a Houston based eatery owned by BLD Brands, the company that also owns Spaghetti Warehouse, although nothing has been formerly confirmed yet. Likewise, no timelines have been announced for the move, as the project hasn’t been finalized.

What Now Columbus reached out to a representative with BLD Brands for more details, but a request for comment wasn’t returned.
