An executive chef will soon be opening his high-end restaurant Class Act in Bucktown.
Class Act Restaurant I, Llc recently put in a liquor license application at 1737 N Damen Avenue. This is to be Nicolai Mlodinow’s location for his new restaurant with multiple courses and various wines to choose from. He is planning on opening in the summer, according to an article from Eater Chicago.
Originally from California, Mlodinow moved to Chicago and would cook dinners from his apartment for guests to enjoy, and he now sets up dinner parties to showcase his specialty dishes. He has previously made specialty dishes including ebi on the barbie with golden osetra caviar, deep fried wagyu and tuna with coriander rice and smokey tea cauliflower puree.
Class Act Dining has been around since 2017, and it is a “members only culinary club,” says the company’s LinkedIn. Mlondinow has collaborated with businesses in the past including Maker’s Mark Distillery and Umamicue Vietnamese restaurant.
The menu has not been released yet, but customers can expect a fine dining experience with similar dishes to what he has been creating. The business has been looking to fill open positions including general manager, bartender and sous chef. Those wanting to reserve a dinner party from class act can do so at classactdining.club.
What Now Chicago has reached out to the owner, and this article may be updated.
