After years of anticipation, Elk Grove is officially getting a Jollibee.
On April 12, 2025, the Elk Grove Laguna Forums Facebook page shared an exciting update: construction is finally set to begin on the popular Filipino fast-food chain. The eatery is setting up shop next to a Starbucks at 7590 Elk Grove Blvd, and an “opening soon” sign has gone up at the site.
A representative for Jollibee North America confirmed this news with What Now Sacramento, though she emphasized that the project is still in its early stages. “It’s a bit too early to tell right now,” she said when asked about a projected opening date.
Founded in the Philippines in 1978, Jollibee is known for its crispy, hand-breaded Chickenjoy fried chicken, alongside other unique Filipino-inspired dishes, such as the sweet-style Jolly Spaghetti and Peach Mango Pie.
Today, the chain operates more than 1,700 stores worldwide, including 103 in North America. Local fans can currently get their Chickenjoy fried chicken fix at Sacramento’s Southpointe Plaza.
Stay tuned for grand opening updates as construction progresses at the Elk Grove eatery.
