The Cumberland County food scene is about to get shook, as the children say. Shake Shack, an absolute juggernaut of fast-casual dining, is preparing to make its Harrisburg regional debut, reports local media outlet Penn Live.

The beloved eatery will be opening at 5315 Carlisle Pike as part of the Beltway Commons development which is currently underway. Locals may want to temper their excitement; an opening timeline is not presently available, and construction is still occurring on the shopping center. However, it is confirmed that Shake Shack has signed a lease for the location, so it is only a matter of time before Harrisburg residents can enjoy the concept’s signature fare.

Shake Shack has enjoyed a unique and interesting rise since it first entered the scene in New York in 2001. What began as a hot dog stand became a kiosk, which turned into a chain that is now a global phenomenon. The brand has 262 locations in the US and 142 international storefronts.

Shake Shack’s menu is built around fast-casual standards, however the eatery brings its own unique flavor to these favorites. Guests can choose from a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and, of course, milkshakes.
