Three Count Brewing has been working on opening a taproom at 148 S Cherry Road in Rock Hill. Co-owner Nate Mallard, who launched the brewery with college friend Taylor Hamrick, told What Now Charlotte that they are hoping to start construction this summer. They hope to open the taproom by the end of the year, though he said it may not open until early 2026 depending on how construction progresses.

The brand has a wrestling-based theme, as suggested by the name “Three Count,” and the taproom design will reflect this concept.

“The brew menu will be based on different lineages and storylines from professional wrestling arcs throughout the year,” Mallard said.

Once complete, the taproom will be 1,200 square feet with an additional 1,200 square feet of outdoor space. There will also be a 2,000-square-foot brewhouse and warehouse across the greenway from the taproom.

Mallard said he and the team are excited to incorporate some interesting styles into their craft brewing. Customers can expect beer offerings that lean toward more traditional styles.

“We’re excited to bring some traditional styles of beer that you don’t see a lot anymore since everyone has gone to hazy IPAs,” Mallard said. “We really enjoy traditional German-style lagers, and we’re going to be very lager-focused.”
