A local coffee shop appears to be brewing a new location in Grant Park.

Bellwood Coffee is proposed for 568 Boulevard SE, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta for the “interior build-out of an existing restaurant space for new tenant (coffee shop).” The space would be 1,062 square feet, according to the application.

Bellwood Coffee has several locations around metro Atlanta: in East Atlanta Village at the plant shop The Victorian, in the Upper Westside of Atlanta in Riverside, and inside the 1776 Peachtree building in South Buckhead. The Riverside location is the brand’s flagship, having began as a a pop-up cart in 2019 before transforming into a coffee and cocktail bar, roastery and kitchen.

The Bellwood Coffee menu includes a lineup of signature coffee drinks and seasonal specials. The Riverside location also serves food like biscuit sandwiches and breakfast burritos, as well as cocktails and an evening dinner menu Wednesday through Saturday that includes burgers, fries, churros and more.

The upcoming Grant Park café isn’t the only plan that Bellwood Coffee has in the works. The local brand is also partnering with longtime Decatur bookstore Little Shop of Stories to bring a full coffee bar and café space to Decatur Square.

Bellwood Coffee also sells their coffee direct-to-consumer and wholesale, in addition to their brick-and-mortar cafés.
