Meili Rooftop, perched on the 8th floor of the Coda Hotel Williamsburg, is the extension of the recently opened Sichuan restaurant Meili downstairs. Created by Owner Miki Niu (CHILI, Wonderland Bar) and Managing Partner Jason Xie (Wonderland Bar), the rooftop features a menu of Sichuan-inspired small bites by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Peter He, alongside a lineup of craft cocktails rooted in Sichuan flavors. With views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines and a prime overlook of McCarren Park, Meili Rooftop offers an unforgettable backdrop.
Executive Chef Peter He, the only Chinese chef in New York City to hold a Michelin star for seven consecutive years, creates a bold reimagining of Sichuan street food for the menu. Drawing inspiration from the flavors of his childhood, he blends tradition with innovation, offering both vibrant, spice-driven classics and inventive vegan and plant-based creations. Selections include Dan Dan Noodles, spicy noodles with mustard greens and sesame paste; and Vegetable Dumplings, choice of steamed or pan-fried.
Cocktails include Yellow River with Meili vodka, Ming River baijiu, pineapple, and cinnamon; Bandita, with Volcan tequila, strawberry, and lime; and Lotus with Botanist Gin, Lillet Blanc, St. Germain, and vermouth
Wine and N/A cocktails are also available for those who do not drink.
Guests enter through the glass doors into a spacious, light-filled room that seamlessly blends indoor comfort with outdoor charm. At the heart of the space is a dark marble bar set against a glowing backdrop of premium liquors and spirits. Plush, light-gray banquettes and chairs are set on rich, dark wood floors. Lush faux greenery adds a touch of nature, while deep maroon textured walls and a retractable roof complete the sophisticated ambiance. The inviting outdoor patio with wicker basket chandelier lights cast a warm glow over cozy seating areas, all framed by views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines.
