A growing chain with an eclectic menu and a memorable name is getting ready to open a fresh DFW location. Local franchisee Jesse Murphy is bringing Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe to Celina later this year, reports Community Impact.
The 3515 South Preston Road will be conveniently located for Murphy, who resides in Celina with his wife and 3 children. The restauranteer explains to What Now Dallas that the proximity was part of the appeal, saying “We’re part of the community and wanted to open one right around the corner.”
Murphy sees Celina’s growth as a beautiful opportunity to introduce Pickleman’s to a new audience. “It’s a huge growing area. Celina is one of the top growing suburbs, with a lot of people and not a lot of food options.”
Locals unfamiliar with the Pickleman’s brand can look forward to a unique and family-friendly dining experience. Murphy tells future regulars what’s in store, stating: “We’re using higher quality ingredients, all the meats are whole muscle meats…we use top quality meats, everything is sliced fresh daily, produce is all sliced fresh daily…home-made and scratch made cookies, tavern style pizzas, thin crust.”
Pickleman’s strives to provide customers with a variety of ways to get their meals swiftly and efficiently. Murphy says: “It’s quick serve, we’ve got a drive-thru. We do online ordering, pickup, delivery, catering.”
Murphy anticipates Pickleman’s being ready to serve Celina customers by autumn; he is aiming for an October opening, with construction set to begin in August.
The Celina storefront is not Murphy’s first Pickleman’s rodeo; the franchisee also owns and operates a location in McKinney-with more on the horizon. “We’ve got a five store deal in the North Dallas area.” he explains. “We’ve got a few of them going in, we’re trying to expand north here.”
