According to a recently submitted permit application, the McAllen, Texas-based restaurant concept La Costa Grill is expanding to San Antonio.
Coming to 5546 N Loop 1604 W, Suite 150, the eatery will land near establishments such as Jinya Ramen Bar, Kerbey Lane Cafe, and Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen.
For readers who are unfamiliar with La Costa Grill, the business offers a brief introduction on its website: “La Costa Grill opened its doors in the Valley in November 2015, serving coastal dishes and fresh seafood with a unique Mexican twist.”
“Our concept centers around the freshest ingredients and excellent service in a warm, friendly, and family atmosphere. Our wide variety of dishes features something for everyone! From octopus to our famous aguachiles and ceviches, a wide selection of delicious cocktails, plus salmon, fish, and traditional tacos,” the statement continues.
What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s owner, Edgar Soberon, to inquire about his plans for the spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, a recent filing reveals that renovations to the existing 6,740-square-foot space are slated to begin on June 2 and finish in January 2026. The project will cost an estimated $2,000,000 to complete.
An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
