Firehouse Subs is turning up the heat in Richmond with a brand-new location underway at 11115 W Grand Pkwy S, Suite 170. Franchisee Aurelius Don Pereira confirmed the upcoming store will mark his third Firehouse Subs location, and this one comes with some notable updates.
“This location will have our next generation steamers, a faster toaster and should offer French fries,” Pereira shared, highlighting upgrades aimed at improving speed and variety for guests. These enhancements align with the brand’s broader push toward modernizing service equipment and refreshing the customer experience across newer stores. According to recently filed permits, the project is listed as a new construction with a full build-out of a 1,378-square-foot space. The estimated cost of the build is $333,000.
Firehouse Subs is a fast-casual sandwich chain known for its hearty, hot subs and firefighter-themed decor. Founded in 1994 by former firefighters, the brand stands out for its use of freshly steamed meats and cheeses piled high on toasted rolls. Popular menu items include the Hook & Ladder and the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. The company also supports first responders through its Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
Pereira noted he is hopeful the new Firehouse Subs will open its doors by September or October 2025.
