P & B Breakfast was cited for multiple health code violations during the inspection. The on-site inspector documented insect activity and dead cockroaches in the facility. Inspectors noted a fly trap positioned in the food prep area, which may contaminate food or equipment.
The report documents the improper temperatures of the cheese and eggs. Cheese was held at 63°F rather than the standard 41°F, while eggs were held at 63°F instead of 45°F. The facility lacked a certified food safety employee at the time of inspection.
Several sanitary violations were also spotted during the inspection. These include:
- Inspectors observed the improper handwashing practices of food employees.
- The handwash sink in the warewashing area was inaccessible because dishes blocked it.
- The paper towel dispensers in several handwash sinks were empty.
- Employees had placed their medicines and personal hygiene products in the food prep area.

- Another health hazard was the placement of chemicals on or above the shelf holding food, equipment, and single-service articles.

- There was an accumulation of grease, grime, dust, and food debris in several areas. These include the inner bottom surfaces of a reach-in unit, the restroom fan cover, the front food prep area, and the rear storage area.
- There was an accumulation of grease on the hood filters.
In addition to the sanitary violations, several pieces of equipment and facility areas were found to be in need of repair or replacement. Two reach-in units located in the customer seating area and rear storage area were reported as inoperable.
A prep refrigerator in the front food area was also noted to be non-functional and requiring repair or replacement. Electrical outlets in the food preparation area were observed with missing covers. The food prep sink was improperly sealed and lacked the required air gaps.
A leak was identified in the drain line connected to the three-compartment sink in the warewashing area. The restroom door was found to be non-self-closing. Inspectors also reported damaged floor tiles and water-stained ceilings in the food prep area, while the ceiling in the rear storage area was noted to be peeling.
