A new burger joint from familiar names in the Columbus food scene is getting ready to open its doors.

Smash Daddy’s, a fast-casual restaurant focused on smash burgers and comfort food, is expected to open in early August at 984 High St. in Harrisburg. In addition to its brick-and-mortar location, the team behind the new concept also plans to debut a food truck later this fall that will travel across Columbus.

The eatery is owned by siblings Shawn and Amanda Strepp, known for their work as Donatos franchisees, along with partner Sam Kirk, former owner of the Macho Taco food truck.

Smash Daddy’s menu will feature a lineup of specialty burgers including the classic Smash Burger, Brunch Smash, Bacon Smash and a Western BBQ Smash. Chicken tenders and a variety of sides—like mac and cheese, tots and onion rings—round out the comfort food offerings.

With a focus on craveable weekly staples, the owners aim to bring their favorite go-to meals to the broader community.
