EDO Tapas & Wine, the Spanish restaurant from Chef Oscar Amador, has been a smash success since launching in Chinatown. The brand has given birth to other concepts like Anima by EDO and Braseria (which is currently in the process of opening at the Collective). EDO’s life, which began in 2018, as a food truck, is now coming to its final chapter.

EDO will close this September, according to coverage by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

But that’s not the end of the story! The restaurant, located at 3400 S Jones Blvd, Suite 11a, in a Chinatown retail center that also houses concepts like Urban Matcha and Chubby Cattle Hotpot, will be reborn as a brand new concept.

What will that concept be? Chef Oscar Amador says, in recent coverage by Eater Las Vegas, that it will be something “very, very special.” He adds, “I want to do something else, but I cannot say too much now.”

So, for the moment, mum’s the word. But a long wait is not expected after EDO closes in September, Eater says.

“It’s expected to remain closed for a short time, while it gets a new name, a small update to the design, and an entirely new menu.”

What Now reached out to co-owner Roberto Liendo on Friday to ask about plans for the EDO transition. Liendo declined to comment on the news.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available!
