A boutique-style café in Downtown Lincoln is about to get much roomier.

Nestled inside Suite 102 of the Lincoln Brand Feeds Mall, Rebel Hen Café is spreading its wings. Owners Kessi Koompin and Gerard Boyle are taking over the space directly behind their café at 436 Lincoln Blvd, a move that will more than double the café’s current seating capacity.

“We’re excited to welcome more guests with this expansion,” Koompin told What Now Sacramento. “The new seating is located just behind our current space, and we’ve added a doorway that connects directly to the kitchen so our team can move easily between both areas.”

The new section will accommodate about 32 additional patrons—a big leap from the café’s current 25 seats—bringing the total capacity close to 57. Guests will be able to access the expanded area by taking a short stroll down the mall’s main hallway.

The expansion, Koompin said, is a response to the café’s steady growth and unwavering community support. With demand consistently rising, the team felt it was the right time to create more room for both loyal regulars and first-time visitors.

Rebel Hen Café is known for its seasonally inspired menu, offering scratch-made breakfast and lunch options alongside baked goods and specialty drinks. Fan favorites include breakfast burritos, soups, salads, and a variety of fresh pastries.

To celebrate their “new coop” and commemorate Rebel Hen Café’s second anniversary, the team will host a ribbon-cutting party on August 30, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A soft opening is planned ahead of the event, so follow along on Facebook and Instagram for the latest.
