With more than two dozen locations in Florida, Metro Diner, “your best local restaurant,” looks to be continuing to expand in Florida with a new location in Palm Harbor. The chain submitted plan review documents showing a new Metro Diner in the works at 35000 US Hwy 19 N.

There, guests would be able to enjoy the brand’s beloved diner menu, ranging from breakfast classics like pancakes, Fried Chicken & Waffle, and a selection of omelets, to burgers, sandwiches and other Lunch & Dinner Favorites. Current Featured Items include full and half racks of BBQ Rings, Blueberry Lemon Pancakes, and Blueberry Lemon Bread Pudding.

“This is your best local restaurant,” says the Metro Diner website. “Where you come for a hot cup of coffee, a warm welcome, and a full belly. Where familiar comfort food dishes meet new, bold obsessions. Where you’ll find a menu full of unique takes on classic Southern food and breakfast served all day. Join us — we promise to bring something special to the table.”

Opening in the retail and restaurant community south of the Alderman Road intersection, Metro Diner would join restaurants like Shogun Japanese Restaurant, Piper’s Scratch Pizza Shop, and Charminar Indian Grill & Bar.

What Now reached out on Friday to Shawn Pollard, JVP for West Central Florida at Metro Diner, to ask about plans for a new location in Palm Harbor. Pollar was not immediately available for comment.
