Atomic Wings is officially headed to the NRG Stadium area, marking the brand’s latest expansion in the Houston market. The upcoming location will be at 8505 Main St. #300, inside a 1,600-square-foot unit being converted from a vacant lease space into a full-service restaurant, according to recently filed permits.
Leading the charge is new franchise owner Harsh Patel. Though this is Patel’s first franchise and first Atomic Wings location, he’s no stranger to the food world. “I’ve been managing restaurants for over 10 years,” Patel told What Now Houston, noting that this venture felt like the right next step. He wanted something on the side in the restaurant space to diversify his portfolio and felt like Atomic Wings was the best fit, emphasizing that their food is great as part of the his decision for partnering with them.
Patel shared that while this will be a standard-format location, similar in setup and offerings to others in the brand’s lineup. It’s the start of a larger vision for him and he’s working toward opening more units in the near future.
The new Atomic Wings is projected to open by December 2025, though Patel noted January 2026 is also a possibility depending on construction progress.
