DFW diners know you can never have too many tacos. One of the region’s favorite chains is preparing to ensure local diners continue to have plenty of options when it comes to delicious Mexican fare. Taqueria El Arquito has filed paperwork for a new location-this time in Mesquite.

The restaurant is moving into 2130 North Beltline Road, a space currently associated with Swig Drinks. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that the renovation will ultimately provide Taqueria El Arquito with 1,595 square feet of space in which to serve customers.

Mesquite diners still have a bit of a wait between them and superior Mexican cuisine; the submitted paperwork shows that construction is set to begin on August 15 of this year and to wrap by December 1. This does not guarantee an opening timeline but does suggest that the restaurant will likely be ready to greet customers by late 2025 or early 2026.

Taqueria El Arquito currently has nine locations open across the DFW. The concept offers a wide range of Mexican favorites, made incredibly memorable by the restaurant’s authentic recipes. Future Mesquite diners can look forward to homemade chorizo and salsas. The website offers some delicious insight into what Taqueria El Arquito offers, saying: “At Taqueria El Arquito we offer comida popular Mexicana and Tacos de Trompo made with our unique family recipe, introduced by our co-founders and chefs Juan Diego Gutierrez and Jose Angel Avila. We prepare all our menu items daily from scratch with only the freshest ingredients.”
