Bushfire Kitchen, a California-based elevated fast-casual restaurant group, is set to open yet another location — this one in Cypress. According to leasing records, the chain will be moving into 5895 Katella Avenue, Suite G, at Boardwalk Cypress, next year.
This marks the company’s 12th location and its third in Orange County. The 2,500-square-foot space will include a patio and is located near several other popular restaurants at the dining plaza, including Panera, Noodles & Company, Juicy Dumpling Factory, and Mooyah Burgers, as The Festival Companies explains.
Bushfire Kitchen was founded in 2012 by two cousins, one a chef and one an entrepreneur. The menu features a range of modern American dishes, with burgers, sandwiches, and mac and cheese, as well as empanadas and heart bowls. It also serves craft beer, wine, teas, and lemonades.
It’s the latest in a string of development announcements from the business. In the last two years, What Now has covered multiple locations that the brand is working on all over SoCal. Rancho Bernardo and Brea sites are also on the “coming soon” list, while Long Beach just opened about a month ago.
“We are humbled by the overwhelming support we’ve received from the OC after our first opening in Mission Viejo and leading up to our Fall 2025 debut in Brea – and can’t wait to bring another Bushfire Kitchen to the area at The Boardwalk Cypress next year,” said Oliver Barwin, CEO of Bushfire Kitchen. “We are thrilled to join the Cypress family and are eager to showcase our chef-crafted, high-quality cuisine to the community.”
