The restaurant closed after more than a decade of serving contemporary Louisiana cuisine and cocktails. Apolline made the tough decision to cease restaurant operations following the demise of its owner, Keith Andrews, last month.
Through an Instagram post, Andrews’ family thanked Chef Billy Prats, the staff, and patrons for their support over the past 13 years. The restaurant has not yet said whether the closure is permanent or temporary.
About the Louisiana Cuisine Restaurant
Since its opening, Apolline has served patrons in New Orleans with a contemporary style of Louisiana cuisine. Andrews was the owner and general manager who worked with Executive Chef Billy Prats. The creations by Prats included local ingredients. Each of these items was prepared with Creole influences along with global flavors.
The restaurant operated out of a refurbished double shotgun cottage, offering wines and cocktails alongside its menu. As of now, there is no clarity regarding the future of Apolline concerning its comeback. However, the legacy of Louisiana’s cuisine by Andrews will continue to linger in the hearts of patrons in New Orleans.
