Uptown restaurant Pasta On The Fly is planning a new location in Metairie. According to a Remodel Repairs and Renovations permit filing with Jefferson Parish, an upcoming location of the fast-casual pasta spot is being planned for a plaza at 2325 Metairie Rd. The restaurant has not made an official announcement on whether this is a relocation or a second location. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.
Located at 7607 Maple St., Pasta On The Fly offers both pasta bowls and salad bowls in the familiar fast-casual format. Guests can build their own bowl, or order a signature bowl, like a Caprese pasta bowl made with heirloom tomatoes, burrata, basil, and balsamic vinaigrette. Build your own options start with a foundation of pasta, such as rigatoni or fusilli, and a signature sauce, such as Truffle Umami, Basil Pesto, and Mama’s Homemade Red Sauce. Guests can top off their bowl with things like meatballs, Italian sausage, and vegan chicken. Sauceless, fresh-made pasta by the pound is available for takeout. The restaurant opened in 2022.
