The inspectors found that the establishment lacked adequate handwashing facilities. Many cooled foil-wrapped baked potatoes were measured at 56°F in the reach-in cooler, exceeding the recommended time/temperature limit.

Inspectors cited a major violation for improperly reheating potentially hazardous food in the steam table. The officials saw fruit flies in a bottle of vermouth at the bar. Live cockroaches of various life stages were observed between the wall and backsplash in the dish machine room.

Multiple cockroaches were discovered in the dry storage area. Inspectors found two cans of unapproved household pesticide in the rear cooking area. Inspectors noted food buildup on non-food contact areas that needed to be removed.

Chlorine sanitizer test strips were missing during the visit. The establishment should follow approved equipment for rapid reheating. Inspectors found clean linens stored in the wrong place.

Inspectors instructed the gaps in the building should be sealed with approved materials to prevent pests. The department temporarily suspended the permit of the establishment, ceasing food handling operations.

The facility will remain closed until all the violations warranting the closure are corrected and the permit has been reinstated by the department. Once corrections are made, the owner may contact the department to request a reinspection.
