Seraphine Maternity, LLC, Faces a Financial Collapse

According to a report on PacerMonitor, a popular maternity clothing brand has filed for liquidation bankruptcy. Seraphine Maternity, LLC, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the Delaware Bankruptcy Court. The brand has been pushed into bankruptcy just years after being bought by a private fund.

Seraphine rose to prominence after Kate Middleton was spotted in its maternity wear. The brand’s profile grew further when it attracted investment from Bridgepoint Growth.

However, things changed when the brand was sold to Mayfair Equity Partners in 2020. After the 2020 sale, Seraphine struggled to secure new investors. The company has reported only $100,000 to $1,000,000 in assets in the filing.

The company has liabilities ranging between $1 million and $10 million with 1 to 49 creditors. Facing mounting liabilities, the company voluntarily filed for bankruptcy. The move will allow its creditors to begin the repayment process.

Clothing Brand Ceases All Trade

In the meantime, Seraphine has suspended operations. A message on the company’s website confirms the shutdown. It clearly states that the brand will not be accepting any new orders for now.

“William James Wright and Christopher Pole were appointed Joint Administrators of Seraphine Limited (the ‘Company’) on 7 July 2025,” reads the message. “The Company ceased to trade upon appointment and therefore will not be accepting any new orders. If you have any queries regarding the Company, please email [email protected] and a member of the team will respond.”

It remains unclear whether Seraphine will attempt a relaunch after the proceedings.
