Set inside an 1800s Victorian home in Williamstown, a cozy coffee shop is opening this fall—just in time for cooler weather, inviting guests to curl up on a couch with a warm drink.

“It gives you a Hallmark vibe,” co-owner Ginger Hartmann told What Now Philadelphia. “We wanted a vibe for the community to come in and just feel like they’re at home.”

Local realtor Hartmann and her broker boyfriend, Tony Iovino, are turning the property into a vibrant community gathering spot they’ve named Cocaboni’s Cafe.

Hartmann said while brainstorming names, Iovino mentioned a dream about a former coworker and good friend he used to call “Tony Cocaboni.” Hartmann liked the unique, catchy ring and they chose it for the cafe.

“When you walk into the house, there’s two rooms that will be sitting rooms downstairs,” Hartmann said. “Upstairs, there’s bedrooms that we’re also utilizing as room for people to sit and use.”

One bedroom will be transformed into a library filled with memorabilia, offering guests a quiet space to read and explore artifacts. Another will function as a conference room for business meetings or small gatherings. A third will serve as a bridal suite for couples marrying at St. Mary’s Church, conveniently located across the street.

“They [the bridal party] can come over, get ready, do their hair and makeup, have their coffee and pastries,” Hartmann said. “They can do that here and they’ll be right across the street from the church which will be nice and convenient.”

While the menu is still being finalized, Cocaboni’s plans to feature classics like espresso, lattes and cappuccinos, along with teas and matcha for non-coffee drinkers. The cafe will also spotlight weekly and monthly specialty drinks.

The food menu will feature locally sourced pastries, muffins and bagels.

“We’re just happy this opportunity presented itself,” Hartmann said. “I just really can’t wait to get everybody together and enjoy the feeling of watching people just be happy drinking their coffee and having a snack.”

Cocaboni’s Cafe hasn’t announced an exact opening date, but the new spot is set to make its debut in mid-October. For updates, follow the cafe on Instagram.
