A Plano store front is getting ready to trade out Massachusetts mild for Tennessee heat. The Preston Towne Crossing storefront that previously housed Boston Market is preparing to welcome poultry sensation Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, reports Culture Map Dallas.

The 2104 Preston Road space is prime real estate ideally designed for a restaurant. The 3,008 square foot interior will provide seating for up to 56 customers, while a 734 square foot outdoor patio will have room for 50 more.

While news of Hattie B’s arrival is certain to spark enthusiasm in DFW diners, there is a bit of a wait ahead. Ownership is aiming to open by late spring or early summer of next year.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken Chief Development Officer Dave Oster says that the company is thrilled about the Plano location-its second in the Dallas area. “Hattie B’s is incredibly excited about opening at Preston Towne Crossing in Plano, which has everything we’ve been looking for in a new location, including great accessibility for our guests. We believe the family-oriented community of Plano, coupled with its robust office market, creates an ideal setting for this fantastic new location.”

Hattie B’s made its auspicious entrance into the fast-casual dining scene in Nashville in 2012. As the name suggests, the brand’s bread and butter is hot chicken, however the menu features a number of beloved sides as well, ranging from pimento mac and cheese to bacon cheddar grits. The chain has enjoyed considerable success owing to both its delicious cuisine and its approach to customer service. The website sums it up, saying: “Our goal from day one has been to offer authentic Nashville hot chicken served with a little style and a lot of hospitality in a fun, high-energy environment. We know communities, families and friends thrive on love, hospitality and great food. That’s why we’re in this.”
