Certified dessert royalty is adding yet another DFW location. Dairy Queen, which has been delighting ice cream lovers since 1940, has filed paperwork to open a new storefront in Cedar Hill.
The beloved chain will be bringing Blizzards and cones to 848 East Beltline Road. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that the eatery-helmed by veteran franchisee Sajib Singha-will span 1,930 square feet and will feature a drive-thru.
Singha kindly set aside some time to fill What Now Dallas in on his latest venture. He explains that the site has been on his radar for some time, saying: “We’ve been planning on opening a Dairy Queen here for a while. We bought this land at the beginning of this year and now we are almost there!”
Singha is hoping to move pretty quickly on the location. He states: “We are thinking by the end of this month we will break ground. We are racing against time to see if we can open it this December.”
The Cedar Hill Dairy Queen will have seating for up to 44 visitors. Singha is hoping the restaurant gets some traffic from the nearby Wal-Mart.
Dairy Queen is a global phenomenon; the franchise has more than 4,000 locations in the United States alone. What began as a concept dedicated to soft serve ice cream has dramatically evolved into a restaurant that can satisfy customers’ savory needs alongside their sweet cravings. Guests can now order burgers, fries, and chicken baskets alongside their frozen treats.
Cedar Hill residents can rest assured that Singha is bringing a great deal of passion and enthusiasm-alongside a welcoming nature-to the neighborhood. He states: “We are very excited to be a part of the Cedar Hill community. It’s a great town. I feel like we will be a really strong part of the community here. We cannot want to serve our Blizzards and burgers to the community!”
