Krispy Kreme, an international doughnut and coffee chain, is opening a new location in Toronto’s Little Italy at the corner of College Street and Ossington Avenue.
The company’s newest Toronto cafe is set to open in a newly renovated building, with Krispy Kreme signage already installed on-site, according to YourCityWithin. Although an official opening date has not been announced, the store will become the city’s seventh Krispy Kreme location. Other locations include Bloor West Village, Dupont Street, Harbord Street, and Danforth Avenue. The Little Italy opening has already generated positive attention on social media, with local community members expressing enthusiasm for the addition.
Krispy Kreme first launched in Canada in 2001, opening its initial store in Mississauga, followed by an expansion into Montreal. In 2010, the company debuted its first Doughnut Cafe in downtown Toronto. Today, its cafes offer fresh doughnuts, baked goods, and coffee in neighbourhood-focused spaces across the country. The brand also operates Hotlight stores, where doughnuts are made fresh throughout the day, in Mississauga, Greenfield Park, and Quebec City.
Menu items include Krispy Kreme’s original glazed doughnut, chocolate-iced varieties, and seasonal flavors. Locations also serve a full range of coffee beverages, including lattes and cappuccinos, as well as baked items such as croissants, muffins, and bagels. Customers can also expect limited-time offerings and rotating specialty doughnuts throughout the year.
The new College Street location continues Krispy Kreme’s steady presence in the Greater Toronto Area and is part of its broader effort to expand its cafe model in urban neighbourhoods.
