Einstein Bros. Bagels is expanding its Southern California presence once again, with a new corporate-owned store in Garden Grove. The chain’s website confirms the pending location, which is listed as “coming soon” to 12979 Beach Blvd.
A company spokesperson told What Now OC that an estimated opening date is slated for Winter 2026, and they are in the permitting/construction phase. A Google My Business page exists for the site, but no hours have been posted yet. No other details are available about the shop at this time.
According to leasing records, the property is a 1,247-square-foot retail space managed by SRS Real Estate. It’s an endcap unit in a highly visible center that’s anchored by the Rodeo 39 Public Market, a curated food hall. Other nearby businesses include Planet Fitness, Chase Bank, In-N-Out, Raising Cane’s, Panda Express, and Club Pilates.
Since its beginnings in the 90s, Einstein Bros. Bagels has grown to more than 700 locations. In 2014, German private investment firm JAB Holding Company acquired the brand; three years later, JAB bought Panera Bread and then restructured the two entities, along with Caribou Coffee, under the group Panera Brands.
