A restaurant that has recently changed concepts is coming to Wheeling in the near future.

Per a report from The Daily Herald, Finn McCool’s Irish Sports Pub and Banquets will be opening at 373 W Dundee Road, the second Chicagoland location under this name. This is a rebrand as the restaurant was supposed to be called Wheel Haus, a sports pub. Ala Carte Entertainment which owns the name is in the process of purchasing the space.

What Now Chicago reported in June that Wheel Haus would open in place of Mia’s Cantina that had closed. Now, Ala Carte has a contract to buy the building under Finn McCool’s, with the help of a property tax break recommended to the Cook County Board.

Mia’s Cantina closed in April, and it was later replaced by the Arctic Spoon ice cream shop which closed this summer. Ala Carte Entertainment has a large presence in this area as they also own Moretti’s restaurant next door.

This new concept will have a banquet hall along with the restaurant. It is a more casual concept for less expensive banquet events, meant to compliment the Finn McCool’s in Schaumburg. On the menu of the current location, there are burgers, sandwiches, appetizers and breakfast options, along with a happy hour drink menu.

Ala Carte Entertainment also owns Bella Napoli, Freddie’s Famous Roadhouse and Chandlers in the Chicago area. The timeline of opening is not known right now, and when contacted representatives from Ala Carte Entertainment did not respond for comment.
