People who love helping people as much as they love a good cup of coffee will rejoice in the news that La La Land Kind Cafe is opening in Scottsdale.

The cafe will open on the first level of Kierland Commons at 15210 N Scottsdale Road, according to the center’s website. An exact date has not been announced, but La La Land is expected to open by December 2025 in time for holiday shoppers to get their caffeine fix.

The Texas-based coffee shop specializes in drinks like the Purple Rain latte and French Toast latte, matchas, and teas. There’s also a good selection of  open faced toasts in both sweet and savory offerings.

What makes La La Land Kind Cafe unique is its commitment to kindness.  Francois Reihani, started the We Are One Project in 2017 (now called the La La Land Foundation) with a mission to provide support and opportunities for fostering youth in need. In 2019, he opened the first La La Kind Cafe to help the mission. The cafe not only provides a place to feed the community, it offers paid internships designed to help young people transition from foster care into adulthood.

Today, there are 23 La La Land Kind Cafes located in Texas, California, and Nashville. When it opens, this will be the first Arizona location.
