Throw Social, the restaurant, bar, and “competitive socializing destination” from the Ginger Brands, is opening its first location in Miami this November. With locations already operating in Washington, D.C. and Delray Beach, Throw Social will make its Miami debut in Wynwood.

Throw Social will serve as a “sprawling 35,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor venue that serves as the pulse of the neighborhood, known for its dynamic events and cultural energy,” says a recent press release. It will feature “five full-access bars, exclusive cabanas with secure VIP and celebrity access, DJs and live bands, and multiple distinct interior event spaces. Inside, the vibrant 275-seat main indoor space blends laidback, tropical-inspired design with warm pendant lighting, creating a resort-like atmosphere for specialty cocktails, dining and dancing and dancing.”

And what about the food and drink front? Highlights from the menu include “Flamazing Appetizers” like Coconut Shrimp with mango chutney and the Throw Sampler, which features mac & cheese bites, coconut shrimp, sweet potato tots, and wings.

There are also “Hula Handhelds” like the Jerk Chicken Sandwich with a bourbon glaze and the Throw Burger; plus “Fabulous Flatbreads” like the Classic Margherita, the Three Cheese, and the OPP (meaning onion, prosciutto, and pineapple).

“We’re thrilled to bring our signature ‘eatertainment’ vibe to the Wynwood district, where guests can unwind with live music from both high-energy bands and spinning DJs, dive into fun games, and relax in our lounge areas,” said Ginger Flesher-Sonnier, founder of the Ginger Brands. “What sets this location apart is the incredible transformation we’ve made to the space with major additions and thoughtful enhancements that elevate the experience.”

What Now reached out to Flesher-Sonnier on Friday to ask about plans for the opening. Flesher-Sonnier was not immediately available for comment.
