The Village Grill has plans to move to a larger space this fall, according to its website. It is targeting an opening at its new location at 2325 South Church St. in Burlington in November, according to the Triad Business Journal.
Co-owner Katherine Cox, who owns the spot with her father Randy, confirmed the forthcoming move in a phone call with What Now Charlotte.
Randy opened the restaurant in 1985, centering the menu around chicken. It became known for its signature Key West Chicken after adding it to the menu in 1988, according to the Village Grill website.
“Our restaurant has evolved over the years, but you will find the same dedication to quality, flavor and exceptional service with every visit,” the website states. “Nearly four decades later, The Village Grill is still thriving as a Burlington staple, known for our commitment to fresh, vibrant and delicious American cuisine. We characterize ourselves as an ‘elevated casual’ atmosphere, welcoming guests of all different attires and occasions. Whether you’re here for a casual lunch, a family dinner, or a special celebration, you can expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a menu that caters to all.”
Other menu items include salads, sandwiches, soups, seafood dishes such as lime cilantro salmon and shrimp scampi, and a selection of steak cuts.
Stay tuned for updates on an official opening date.
