Timber Pizza Co. franchisees are eyeing expansion in Durham. The pizza franchise, helmed by franchisees Mark Barrett and Kathleen Sears, will expand to a 2,000-square-foot space at The Shops at Wye Junction, with plans to open later this year, according to reporting by the Triangle Business Journal.

Timber Pizza Co. also has a location in Raleigh, which opened about a year ago. The Washington, D.C.-based chain launched in 2014 and now has eight locations across Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and South Carolina.

The spot serves a variety of pizzas, including Pretty in Pepperoni, The Bentley (with cured chorizo, soppressata, Peruvian sweet peppers and spicy honey) and The Shirley (with pesto drizzle, tomato drizzle, jalapenos, cured chorizo and green onions). They also sell salads and empanadas.

Timber Pizza Co. also operates several mobile trucks.
