Daily Bread Co., a South OC-based microbakery, is opening a brick-and-mortar shop in San Clemente this fall. The woman-owned business recently announced on social media that it’s moving into 111 W. Avenida Palizada, Ste 104, in the city’s Old Town center.
Owner Alexandra Cefalu shared her excitement in a post, saying, “We are so stoked to announce that Daily Bread Co will be opening up a shop in San Clemente. We can’t wait to share with you guys the progress of the shop and what we have in store for you! Stay tuned!”
Cefalu sells organic sourdough breads, cookies, muffins, and cinnamon rolls — all made from scratch with clean ingredients and traditional fermentation. Its doughs include Classic, Parmesan Garlic, Olive & Rosemary, Everything, Chocolate Chip, Jalapeño Cheddar, and Cranberry Walnut, the menu shows.
The community is already familiar with the brand’s goodies; Daily Bread Co. has been a regular vendor at the monthly Old Town San Clemente Market and local festivals and events. Cefalu just started the venture as a cottage bakery last year.
