Newport Beach is set to welcome Amalfi by Oliver’s, a new Italian concept from acclaimed Chef Erik De Marchi, when it opens at Fashion Island. According to the luxury mall’s directory, the restaurant will be located at 401 Newport Center Dr, Suite A104.

While an opening date or further details have not been announced, the restaurant is listed as “coming soon”. It will be open for lunch and dinner service, serving authentic Italian street food like market-fresh Neapolitan cuoppo, amalfitano, pizza al taglio, and vibrant pasta plates.

Chef De Marchi was born and raised in Italy and graduated from a culinary academy there. After moving to the United States, he worked in the kitchen of several Italian restaurants across Southern California before launching two eateries of his own in the OC, his bio explains.

In 2018, he debuted Oliver’s Osteria in Laguna Beach, following it with Oliver’s Trattoria in Irvine in 2023. Both are named after his son, and celebrated for their handmade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and authentic Italian fare. Oliver’s Osteria has earned Michelin Guide recognition, including a Bib Gourmand award.
