The Cherokee Heights Arts Festival (CHAF) returns for its 17th year on Freyer Drive NE, between Etowah and Chicasaw Drives in Marietta. The festival celebrates local creativity with live music, food, and family-friendly activities. The event will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Cherokee Heights Arts Festival Returns for 17th Edition
Launched in 2009, the event began as a way for neighborhood residents to showcase their talents and share their creations with the wider community. It has since evolved into a beloved outdoor festival held in Cherokee Heights, a 1924 National Historic Register subdivision just north of Marietta Square.
The Cherokee Heights Arts Festival began as a small, invitation-only art show organized by residents and later turned into a community event, becoming a cherished tradition that features more than 40 artists each year.
The festival features a collection of handcrafted art, pottery, jewelry, photography, woodwork, metalwork, textiles, and baked goods, all made by local creators. Young visitors can enjoy an interactive art zone sponsored by the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, where kids can create their own crafts.
Live performances will take place throughout the day across two neighborhood stages – the Etowah Stage and the Chicasaw Stage.
Music will fill the air throughout the day with performances across two neighborhood stages. At the Etowah Stage, enjoy sets by the Emerson Drummers (10 to 11 am), The Palace Mirrors (11 am to 12:15 pm), Radley Fricker Band (1 to 2 pm), and Old Roses (2:15 to 3:45 pm). Over at the Chicasaw Stage, Aidan Pierce (11 am to 2 pm) will perform, followed by a TBA act from 2 to 4 pm.
Guests can also enjoy local food stalls, beverages, and beer on tap – the perfect way to unwind after a day of art, shopping, and live entertainment. There is no event charge or entry fee, with free parking for everyone.
