Yo Pauly’s New York Pizza Co., a Scottsdale staple loved for its pies and calzones, is opening a second location, at 4040 W. Ray Road in Chandler.

The pizza shop posted the news on Instagram, saying, “Chandler, we hope you are ready for the best NY Pizza in the Valley”.  No exact opening date has been announced.

Filled with memorabilia from the Rocky movies, Yo Pauly’s opened in 2016 and quickly became a favorite with pizza lovers and Northeast transplants hungry for a taste of the Big Apple’s famed slices. Yo Pauly’s leans heavily into its New York identity, naming its dishes and pies after famous landmarks and characters.

Popular choices include the “Madison Square Garden” pizza with tomatoes, green peppers, onion, sauce, mozzarella, black olives, and mushrooms; the “Big Apple” topped with sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, green peppers, black olives, sauce, mozzarella, onions, and peppers; and the “Daily News” stromboli, filled with sausage, pepperoni, ham, and mozzarella, rolled up like the daily newspaper.

The restaurant also offers family-style dinners, express catering for groups and office parties, and custom catering.

In 2023, Barstool Pizza’s Dave Portnoy reviewed Yo Pauly’s, calling it a “solid New York pizza”, and rating it an impressive 7.7. Yo Pauly’s general manager and partner, Wyatt Howe said that the review exposed new people to the restaurant, but it’s the pizza that brings them back.
